Where visitors stay in Los Cabos
Los Cabos runs 20 miles along the coast from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo, with the airport beyond San Jose. Cabo San Lucas has the marina, Medano Beach and the nightlife; the Tourist Corridor between the towns holds the large resorts on their own coves; San Jose del Cabo has the colonial plaza, the galleries and the quieter dinners; and the East Cape beyond the airport is the newest and most remote stretch. Transfers run 20 minutes to San Jose and 45 to Cabo San Lucas.

Suits: Luxury, seclusion, diving at Cabo Pulmo

Good to know
- Check the beach flag before the hotel
- Many corridor and Pacific-side resorts sit on beaches that are not safe to swim. The listing or the resort will say; Medano, Chileno, Santa Maria and Palmilla are the reliable swimming beaches.
- Shuttles, not taxis, from the airport
- Airport taxis are expensive and the sellers in the arrivals hall are persistent. Book a shared or private shuttle ahead, or the resort's own transfer.

Questions before you book
Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo?
Cabo San Lucas for the boats, the beach bars and the nights out; San Jose for the plazas, the galleries and the quiet. Thirty minutes apart, and the corridor resorts sit between them.
Is Los Cabos all-inclusive?
Mixed. The corridor and the Cabo San Lucas beach resorts sell both all-inclusive and room-only; San Jose and the East Cape lean room-only. See the all-inclusive page for the resort zones.
How do I book a hotel from this page?
Each "See hotels" button opens Expedia's hotel search for that part of Los Cabos, with live rates, photos, reviews and the cancellation terms. You book and pay there. All Travel Fun earns a commission on bookings made through those links; it does not change what you pay.
