Jamaica's resorts line the north and west coasts, and Montego Bay's airport serves all of them. The Montego Bay strip itself is minutes from arrivals; Negril's Seven Mile Beach is about 90 minutes west; Ocho Rios, with the waterfalls, is about 90 minutes east; and Falmouth and Trelawny, in between, hold several of the biggest resorts on a quieter coast.

Montego Bay and Rose Hall
Resorts from the Hip Strip east to Rose Hall and Ironshore, ten to thirty minutes from the airport. Golf, the great house and the shortest transfer on the island.

- Negril and Ocho Rios are each about 90 minutes from the airport. On a long weekend, Montego Bay or Trelawny saves half a day each way.

Negril or Montego Bay?
Negril for the beach itself and a slower, smaller-scale feel, at the cost of the drive. Montego Bay for the shortest transfer, the golf and the bigger resorts near the airport.
Is Kingston a place to stay?
Kingston is the capital on the south coast, three to four hours away, with business hotels and the Bob Marley Museum. It is a separate trip, not a resort base.
