Where visitors stay in San Juan
San Juan's hotels fall into four pockets along the coast. Old San Juan is the colonial city on its own peninsula; Condado is the beach strip of high-rise hotels just east; Ocean Park and Santurce sit between Condado and the airport with guesthouses and the food scene; Isla Verde is the beach district next to the airport with the big resorts. Rides between them take ten to twenty minutes.

Questions before you book
Old San Juan or Condado?
Old San Juan for the atmosphere and the evenings, with no beach. Condado for a beach hotel ten minutes from it. Many visitors stay in Condado and walk or ride to the old town.
Do I need a car?
Not for San Juan. For El Yunque and the east coast, tours or a one-day rental are easier than keeping a car in the city.
How do I book a hotel from this page?
Each "See hotels" button opens Expedia's hotel search for that part of San Juan, with live rates, photos, reviews and the cancellation terms. You book and pay there. All Travel Fun earns a commission on bookings made through those links; it does not change what you pay.
Can your agents book the hotel over the phone?
